I went to a local Rails workshop -- wahoo! -- and the young, teenag-ish instructor got us students, including an old school vim user like myself, hooked up on Nitrous.io. This IDE looks more intuitive than Cloud9 (from my previous, "Round 1" blog), and has gets lots of kudos from the programming trenches, although it would seem to have fewer holistic options (aka., fewer points of integration than Cloud9). At least Nitrous.io has dabbled with touch interface programming whereas Cloud9 has ignored the use case.
In other news, tmux came up in discussion. Looks like the teenagers are liking the old screen functionality again and resurrecting its core features from the grave of the Graybeards.
